About

Joanna Filter founded Filter Made in 2022 in Brooklyn, New York as a full-service lighting and interior design studio. With more than a decade of design experience throughout the United States and Europe, she brings a modern and human-centered focus to spatial environments across a variety of industries and applications and at all scales—including residential, commercial, and municipal settings as well as landscape and retail design and the arts.

Before founding Filter Made, Joanna worked as a designer with some of the foremost lighting and interior design firms in the world, including Fisher Marantz Stone (FMS), Selldorf Architects, Tillett Lighting Design Associates, Kugler Ning Lighting, and Ghislaine Viñas. Joanna holds an MFA double major in Lighting Design and Interior Design from the Parsons School of Design in New York, New York.
